Cairnhill is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Fabricator/Welder. This apprenticeship provides the perfect chance to gain hands-on experience while studying towards an NC qualification, with the option to progress to an HNC in the final two years. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the fabrication and welding of metal components and structures under the guidance of experienced professionals.
- Learn to interpret technical drawings.
- Use fabrication tools and machinery, including grinders, and welding equipment.
- Assemble fabrications, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Attend day release at college one day per week to complete required academic qualifications.
- Follow health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Apprenticeship Details:
- Duration: 4 years.
- Year 1-2: NC qualification in Fabrication and Welding.
- Year 3-4: Option to progress to HNC in Fabrication and Welding.
- One day a week release for college study.
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18.
- A strong interest in fabrication and welding with a desire to learn and develop in the industry.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to commit to a 4-year apprenticeship scheme.
- No prior experience necessary, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential!
