Drumjohn Pipeline Refurbishment

Our refurbishment work on the Drumjohn pipeline is progressing with our project near the Loch Doon Tunnel, fancy dress is not optional on this occasion!
Cairnhill have been engaged to remove six meters of penstock pipework, originally installed in the 1920’s, and replace it with a clever new removable loading bay section. This addition will allow light terrain vehicles to travel up the pipe for future inspections and to help identity any urgent repairs.
A lifting frame is then installed to allow easy removal and reinstatement of the movable section piece. All finished off with new handrailing and an access stair.
Great to be working with Amco again on this innovative project.
