Meet the team: Neil Goldie

With over 17 years of service at Cairnhill, an association going back to the 90s, Mr Goldie started as an apprentice draughtsman, then moved over to the consulting engineering world. His career has been book-ended by Cairnhill, and his proudest achievement to date was reinstating the company apprentice programme while supporting many new initiatives to encourage young engineers. 

As an integral part of our senior management team, he has headed up a multitude of complex projects within the energy, defence, oil & gas and petrochemical sectors. Including Sellafield, AWE, Grangemouth, Faslane, and Hinkley Point C. With a keen eye on the finer detail, he uses his technical, construction and fabrication knowledge built up over the decades to support all our clients.  

Outside of work, Neil is passionate about music, films and is an avid fan of most sports, including cricket. He is proudly pictured here with two of his favourite Scottish cricketers, Andrew Umeed and Josh Davey, who play with Somerset County Cricket Club.
